Bounty Hunters
The Bounty Hunters matches are held the second Saturday of the Month.
Gate opens at 8:00 am. Safety meeting starts at 9:30 am. Shooting starts
after the safety meeting. Entry Fee $15.00 per shooter for members of
the Bounty Hunters Cowboy Action Shooting Club $20.00 for non
members. Entry Fee includes a $5.00 range fee. The Range is located
3.5 miles west of Whitharral, Texas on Norway Road.
Firearms needed for all main match categories: (not wild bunch)
2 revolvers. (single action)
1 rifle.(lever action or slide action with exposed hammer, revolver caliber)
1 shotgun. (double barrel side by side with or without exposed hammers)
(1897 winchester or reproduction slide action with exposed hammer or a
pre-1900 or reproduction lever action shotgun with exposed hammer)
The Bounty Hunters will have a wild bunch category at all future matches.
What you will need to shoot in the wild bunch category.
1 1911 or luger style single action automatic pistol with at least 2 clips.
1 Sass legal 1897 winchester or reproduction pump shotgun.
1 Sass legal lever action pistol caliber main match rifle.
Lead bullets only no jacketed or semi-jacketed bullets.
Ammunition needed:**
10 revolver rounds, 10 rifle rounds, 4 shotgun rounds for each stage.
Bring at least 60 revolver rounds, 60 rifle rounds and 25 shotgun rounds
for each shooter. (It never hurts to bring extra ammunition)
Lead bullets only please:**
No jacketed bullets or semi-jacketed bullets.
SASS Rules.
Membership to the Bounty Hunters Shooting Club or the Single Action
Shooting Society not required to enter matches.

* Single shot single barrel shotguns are sass legal.
* Sass rules do not state that revolvers and rifles must be the same calibers. Common revolver calibers
rifles will shoot are .32 h&r magnum .38 special .357 magnum .44special .44 magnum and .45 long colt.
More revolver calibers are listed in the sass shooters handbook. .
